Preserving an archive
Our lecture programme for 2018/2019 offers a wide ranging choice of topics – from the history of cover designs, delivered by the grandson of the founder of Faber & Faber, to Aqua Triumphalis – Power, Pageantry and the Thames – covering the history of the Thames from the Tudor age to the present day.
At The Arts Society Exmoor, we arrange monthly lectures from October through to June, normally on the first Monday of every month. Each lecture starts at 2.30pm and lasts for an hour followed by an opportunity for questions and then tea. Lectures are held at Brushford Parish Hall, near Dulverton.
Details of the programme for 2017-18 can be seen under ‘previous lectures’ which will give you a good idea of the scope of topics we cover.
If you are new to The Arts Society Exmoor – please contact us and we can send you details of the 2018/19 programme along with details of membership. It really is a great way to make new friends and enjoy top class lectures, study days, tours and visits.
